The objectives of the project are:
- reach out to a wider public and spread knowledge about the best practices of local democracy: to wider society (beyond academia and specialized audiences) bringing the EU closer to the public;
- to promote excellence in teaching and researching in the field of EU democracy instruments in general and local democracy in particular;
- to improve the quality of training of graduates of all specialties, the training of which are carried out at SSU with an emphasis on the use of local democracy instruments in their future professional activities;
- to provide students, graduates, civil society organizations and residents of Sumy region with knowledge about the instruments of local democracy, to promote positive EU practices on the use of instruments of local democracy, to encourage its borrowing to national practice;
- to promote innovation in teaching and researching, including the development of an open online course and the use of blended learning instruments.
