During her academic mobility at Örebro University in Sweden, Viktoriia Pankratova, Associate Professor at the Department of Fundamental Jurisprudence and Constitutional Law, participated in the international academic conference “The International Covenants at 60: Boundaries of ‘the Human’ in Human Rights”, held on 4 November 2026.
The conference was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the adoption of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. Discussions focused on contemporary approaches to defining the concept of the “human” in international human rights law, as well as current issues concerning the scope, boundaries, and safeguards for the protection of human rights.
Participation in the conference provided an opportunity to engage in expert discussions on pressing issues in international human rights law, gain insights into the academic perspectives of international colleagues, and further strengthen international academic dialogue.
