Within the framework of the implementation of the project 101126904 – EUPART4UA – ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH under the Jean Monnet Action – Jean Monnet Module “Citizen participation: challenges and European experience for Ukraine”, the monograph “Citizen participation: challenges and European experience for Ukraine” has been published.
The authors of the scientific publication are O. V. Stohova, V. O. Pankratova, N. S. Horobets, and A. V. Steblianko.
The monograph is devoted to the study of theoretical and practical aspects of citizen participation in public affairs, the analysis of European experience, and the identification of the main challenges and prospects for the development of civic participation in Ukraine.
The publication examines modern approaches to engaging citizens in public decision-making processes, the features of developing participatory democracy mechanisms, as well as European practices of citizen interaction with public authorities. Special attention is paid to the possibilities of applying the European experience in Ukraine and improving national mechanisms of civic participation.
The publication of the monograph is one of the important results of the EUPART4UA project implementation. It contributes to the dissemination of knowledge about European standards and practices of civic participation, the development of scientific discussion, and the deepening of understanding regarding the role of citizens in democratic governance.
