Second-year Law Students Begin the Course “Ethics and Integrity in the Legal Profession” Led by Representatives of the DEJURE Foundation

Representatives of the DEJURE Foundation started teaching the course “Ethics and integrity in the legal profession” within the discipline “Ethics of a lawyer” for students of the 2nd year of the specialty 081 “Law”.

Ivan Shemelynets – PhD in Law, expert of the DEJURE Foundation on legal education reform and Kateryna Hryshchenko – lawyer and analyst of the DEJURE Foundation in academic groups held classes on the topic: “Legal education and integrity” in academic groups Y-31 and Y-33.

The students got acquainted with the results of current research on the state of integrity in legal education and with the best practices of forming integrity in institutions of higher education. Prospective lawyers worked to assess the state of law school integrity using the DEJURE Foundation trainers’ checklist for assessing the integrity of the law school environment.
