Participation in an International Coordination Meeting: Reviewing the Outcomes of Collaboration with the European University Alliance

From December 9 to 15, 2024, Associate Professor Viktoriia Pankratova of the Department of ФЮКП participated in a coordination meeting held under the banner of “ERUA Day & Cooperation between Ukrainian Universities and the European University Alliance on Reforms.” This event marked the culmination of the year’s collaborative efforts and was dedicated to reinforcing the international academic community envisioned by the “European Universities” Initiative, launched by the European Commission.

The alliance is composed of eight leading European higher education institutions: University Paris 8 (France, serving as the consortium coordinator), SWPS University (Poland), Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), the University of Macerata (Italy), the University of the Aegean (Greece), the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain), the European University Viadrina (Germany), and the New Bulgarian University (Bulgaria).

The meeting’s agenda was richly varied, featuring presentations by ERUA member universities, lectures addressing current educational and research priorities, and networking sessions designed to forge stronger inter-university connections. A key highlight was the presentation by Ms. Monika Janiczka, Coordinator of International Projects at SWPS University, who delivered a comprehensive report on the year-long collaboration with Ukrainian partners.

Looking ahead to 2025, several significant international initiatives have been scheduled. Ukrainian students and faculty will have the opportunity to participate in the Summer School on the Rule of Law, “What is the EU? Analysis of the Significance of Article 2 TEU: Exchange of Experiences,” in Sopot (Poland). They will also engage in the Academic Innovation Workshop within the ERUA2 framework in Warsaw (Poland) and take part in the ERUA Academic Innovation Week at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain).

We extend our sincere gratitude to SWPS University for its productive collaboration and look forward to further joint projects and events aimed at deepening international engagement and fostering impactful educational reforms.
